A: The web site migration service available at Jeody is entirely free of cost and involves moving all your files, databases and e–mails from your present web hosting provider to your brand–new web hosting account with us. We’ll also update all the settings needed for your websites to be completely functional on our leading–edge cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are fully capable of moving any kind of site. With years of experience behind their backs, they are well–versed in the inner workings of our hosting platform, our Control Panel and all other well–known Control Panels. For them, moving a custom–built app with a lot of custom libraries is as elementary as moving a simple WordPress–based blog.

A: While we can’t give you an exact time interval, because there are lots of variables, including the physical size of the files and databases, the location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your website and the present workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our very best to move your web site within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (when the website content is not very large).

A: We’ll require the login information for your current web hosting provider’s Control Panel along with the website’s name (domain name).

To do so, we employ technical safety measures to avoid the loss, the abuse, the alteration or the illegal leakage of the information under our control. When we ask users to supply financial information (for example, a debit card number), this info is shielded using the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) technology.

A: Nah. Your web site will continue to be completely operational during the transfer. As soon as everything is completed on our end, we will let you know so that you can examine it and check for any problems. If everything’s fine, all you will need to do is edit your domain name’s DNS settings.

A: No. Apart from your login details for the Control Panel, we don’t need anything. We will never contact your web hosting provider. They will not know anything about the migration either.

A: We can migrate your site from any hosting provider or any Linux–driven web hosting platform so long as we can obtain access to the Control Panel and there is FTP access available.The only web sites that we’re unable to migrate are those based on closed–source software applications like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
